Ends on High Note

WorldatWork extends its deepest appreciation to all speakers, delegates, sponsors, supporting organisations and media partners who made the WorldatWork Total Rewards 2009 Asia Pacific Conference in Hong Kong a resounding success.

Convention of Global Audience
More than 150 attendees from 10 countries including Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, Indonesia, and USA convened at JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong from 7–9 October for three thought-provoking days of education, knowledge-sharing and networking.

Attendees included distinguished HR practitioners, compensation and benefits specialists, renowned thought leaders and prominent HR leaders from global organsiations.

Dedicated Learning Experience
A global panel of speakers and thought leaders, including principal and senior directors, shared their knowledge in more than 15 presentation sessions. These sessions provided attendees with insights into utilising the concept of total rewards, compensation, benefits and work-life balance to motivate and retain their organisation's human asset.

The senior HR managers and vice-presidents of several large organisations in Asia Pacific were also present, including CLP Holdings Hong Kong, Wal-Mart Far East Management, and American Express. They provided an insider's look into their usage of and approach to work-life balance, health-care, human capital issues and other total rewards strategies.

Keynote speakers Roger Collins, Professor Emeritus at University of New South Wales, Australia, and Fredrik Härén, renowned speaker and author on creativity, opened and closed the conference respectively with their keynote presentation.

Conducive Networking Sessions
An opening reception on the first night in the beautiful premises of JW's California provided attendees with a good opportunity to mingle with their fellow attendees, speakers, and consultants. Another reception was held on the second night at the Book Lounge of the hotel, allowing everyone a private yet informal environment to enjoy the company of their fellow attendees.

During the various breaks in between concurrent sessions, attendees had ample time mix and mingle with their peers, speakers and thought leaders in a relaxed atmosphere. The table-top exhibition gave attendees a chance to learn about the latest tools to enhance their work.
